Did You Know?
Did you know that it's better to practice your piano for an hour every day rather than seven hours on a single day? Practicing the piano regularly is important because your skill set will grow faster when you frequent the instrument. Every moment you are away from the piano, you will forget portions of the music and lose some of the muscle memory required to play it. If you practice daily, you are constantly “relearning” the music which is ideal for long-term success. If you routinely practice your pieces, you will not only ingrain the skills/technique for the music you are working on but will be more likely to transfer those abilities to future repertoire as well. Cramming your practice into one or two days a week not only limits improvement but can also open you up to injury at the piano too. So... go practice!
