Dance of the Irish performed by Evelyn

I love celebrating the hard work of my students!! So today, I’m happy to showcase a wonderful performance by Evelyn as she plays Dance of the Irish, a lively and energetic piece composed by Faber from the Piano Adventures Performance 2A book.

Evelyn worked so hard to bring this fun piece to life! She did an incredible job performing this piece live at our winter recital in February... and then she followed that up with this fantastic recording of it the very next day! Performing —whether in person or online—takes confidence, dedication, and lots of practice, and she approached it with such confidence and enthusiasm. Evelyn has been taking piano lessons for 2.5 years and I am so proud of her progress! Enjoy the music? Show your support by giving this post a like!

PS: here’s a tip for all the piano teachers out there. This piece is such a great choice for young piano students! First, this is a great piece to work on articulation, rhythm, and expressive playing. Plus, it’s full of energy with a quick tempo, which is always fun! Pieces like this help students build confidence while enjoying the process of making music.
